'Twas the week before Christmas

Unfortunately, this last week brought great grief. We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our jersey calf, but she came earlier than expected and passed away the following night. We learned a lot in that period, and are now milking mama twice a day. So far I've made butter (amazing!!), buttermilk, yogurt, puddings, green yogurt, and sour cream. We are definitely having fun with this so far! Our oldest son, Max, is really interested in helping to milk.
